Like most of my couples who elope, Erica and Ryan were a really relaxed but fun loving couple. Their wedding started out being just the two of them taking in a castle wedding ceremony for their elopement in Co Clare. They would base themselves in Doolin, Co Clare because they are a young couple and wanted a bit of life and fun for the evening after their wedding ceremony. Plus Co Clare has the gorgeous coastline { and part of Wild Atlantic Way} and rugged Burren landscape. So as time went on and they told their friends and family about their plans, things expanded a little. People wanted to join them. Not too much but they ended up with a still very intimate group of 8.

Erica had a laid back bohemian style and wanted a light fresh feeling to the day. Flowers were simple baby’s breath with real lavender and just a simple floral wreath for her hair. The 2 bridesmaids wore mix matched dresses and just looked great. This is a little what their elopement wedding day was like.

The guys went looking for four leaf clovers before the ceremony. I though it was so sweet!

The gorgeous day ended with drinks and dinner in a Doolin pub. Simple, sweet, relaxed and fun. What more do you need?

Well, I need to send thanks for the help with Erica and Ryan’s wedding to Aoife Herriott Photography for the lovely photos, and the always wonderful Romy from A Beautiful Ceremony for a truly beautiful ceremony at Newton Castle in Ballyvaughan, Co Clare. Sheena from West Clare Flowers did the bouquets and Miriam from Mimi’s salon for the girl’s hair.

Thanks again to all and Erica and Ryan, it was a  pleasure helping you plan your most special castle wedding ceremony in the west of Ireland!
