A Traditional Church Ceremony on Valentia Island

After meeting online and 5 ½ years together Etienne proposed to Ashley. Then they waited again before starting to plan their wedding. That wedding was an elopement but in a traditional church ceremony. It was important to Ashley and Etienne was happy to make it happen.

Neither of our couple had been to Ireland before but their vision was very natural and relaxed. They really wanted to feel like they were in the countryside in ‘real Ireland’ and include Irish traditions so what better than a small Irish stone chapel on an island. Reverend Kavanagh took his time to really get to know the couple and include them on the day.

As one of their witnesses on the day, I can attest that it was a loving sentimental ceremony with more than a few giggles and lots of hugs.

Have a look at the scenery, ceremony, and love on Etienne and Ashley’s beautiful wedding day!
